Founded in 1989 by John and Sarah Thompson, Guardian Heating & Cooling started as a modest operation in Northbrook, IL. With just one service van and a handful of dedicated employees, the Thompsons set out to provide reliable AC service to their local community.

Expansion and Growth

As word spread about Guardian’s exceptional service and expertise, the company began to expand its operations. By the late 1990s, we had established a strong presence in several Chicago suburbs, including:

• Highland Park

In 2005, Guardian Heating & Cooling made a significant move by opening its first Chicago office in the vibrant neighborhood of Lincoln Park. This expansion allowed us to better serve our growing urban clientele and solidified our position as a leading HVAC company in the area.
